Dr Adeeba Ahmad is an education policy researcher based in Guildford, UK. She is a leading researcher with interests in Intercultural Citizenship; Foreign Language Policy in Higher Education, Internationalisation of Higher Education, and English Language as EAP. Her doctoral research at the University of Surrey examined how intercultural citizenship is developed through foreign-language teaching and learning — and how education policy can either widen or close the space for belonging across cultural difference.
She combines research with teaching & curriculum development and review. Her research portfolio includes working with University of Oxford and Durbeen on a major study of language-in-education policy, worked for ESRC Impact Acceleration Award conducted jointly by University of Surrey, Deakin University and Charles Sturt University Australia.Worked for King’s College London project titled:Towards Coherent and Inclusive Policy on Curriculum in CMCI and also for the Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) as project member.
